Safari Overview
The five days safari will take you to Uganda’s famous national parks of Bwindi Impenetrable and Queen Elizabeth. The parks have rich biodiversity from big game like elephants, buffaloes, hippos and variety of birds in Queen Elizabeth. Then south Queen Elizabeth is home to climbing lions that rest lazily in the fig trees and just 62km south is home to the endangered mountain gorillas.

Day 2 Morning game drive and after noon boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park
Day 3 Drive to Ishasha for the search of tree climbing lions and continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Day 5 Transfer from Bwindi to Kampala/Entebbe

Your will be picked from your hotel by our driver guide who will transfer you to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Queen Elizabeth is the most popular park in Uganda as it offers diverse ecosystems, from forest, savanna, wetland and open waters. This harbors big game, 10 primate species and over 600 bird species . You will have a stop at the equator for photography. Proceed to Mbarara and have a lunch break at Igongo Cultural Centre and later proceed to the park. On arrival you will head for an evening game drive before checking-in at your accommodation for an overnight.

Wake up early, have breakfast and go out for a morning game drive starting with the Kasenyi plains. Kasenyi plains are excellent for sighting lion and large herds of Uganda kob. The Mweya peninsula offers excellent game drives with magnificent views across the water to the Rwenzori Mountains. Mweya is one of the best places to look for leopard, which live in the dense, scrubby thickets.
Return to the lodge for lunch
In the afternoon go for a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. The 40km long and 8m deep Channel is home to one of the greatest concentration of hippo in Africa and herds of elephant, buffalo and other animals come to drink at the water’s edge. The channel is a magnet for water birds, with great flocks of pelicans, African fish Eagle, Spoon bills and others birds on the shore.

Wake up very early in the morning, have breakfast and after proceed to the Southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National park with packed lunch. You will do another Game drive in this sector with chances of spotting lions resting on fig trees. After the game drive you will drive for some 2 hours to Buhoma Sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Wake up early have breakfast, take your packed lunch and be at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park Headquarters for the Mountain Gorilla Tracking (Trekking) orientation and meeting with guides and separation into groups depending on which group you will be tracking.
At 8.30 you enter the forest to track the Mountain Gorillas. Tracking can take from 2 hours to half a day depending on how far the gorillas are and which gorilla family you track. In the afternoon you can do an optional nature walk in one of the trails or a community visit to the Batwa communities. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight .

After breakfast, you will drive via Rukungiri to Kampala or Entebbe International airport for your International flight. You will have lunch en route in Mbarara after which you will proceed with the drive.
